Modernity

“A modern way of thinking”
Modernity can be defined as “a modern way of thinking, working, etc.; contemporariness.”-
Modernity in the media- also known as the modernization theory, it holds that there is increased availability in levels of schooling students today and it also helps to develop the mass media today. Both mass media and modernity in the media foster democratic political institutions today. -

It is important that we think deeply about modernity’s relationship to the/our past and future. It is often tempting to isolate the present mode (as modernity), or even to consider how we form our future, without much regard to the complexities of the past. (to be continued by Jacob)
