What’s the cell phone policy?

Cell phones and mobile devices have become a part of everyday life. As such, the following guidelines have been developed to help participants understand the appropriate use of said devices during a Deep Impact Mission Week. Keep in mind that while mobile devices are often helpful and convenient, they also have great potential to detract from the Deep Impact experience.
Youth may only use cell phones during designated free times (See )
Cell phones are prohibited for students during worship. Please use a hard copy of the Bible.
Cell phones should not be used on the project sites, except as necessary by an adult.
Cell phones should be secured in your room at the lodging facility during the day, as well as during worship.
IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: Any electronic device(s) or other valuables are brought at the risk of the person bringing the property. Deep Impact and Baptists on Mission are not be responsible for the damage, loss or theft of any personal property brought to any mission week.

What’s the dress code?

Deep Impact has created the following dress code. Even if this is more conservative than how you’re used to dressing, please be respectful of our host organization.
Clothing may not contain language, pictures, advertisements, or symbols of an offensive nature.
Sleeveless shirts, tank tops, or shirts revealing belly/midsection may not be worn
All shorts should be mid-thigh in length or longer and not tight-fitting exercise/spandex shorts.
This applies while on mission sites and while on the lodging campus.
Clothing with tears or holes in inappropriate places is not permitted.
Clothing should not be tight-fitting or exposing in any way.
Pajamas or other sleepwear is not permitted outside your lodging room.
Shoes must be worn at all times outside of the lodging room.
On mission sites, all participants will wear closed-toe shoes.
Around the lodging campus, participants may wear sandals or other kinds of shoes.
Swimsuits:
Males: short-style that are worn on the hips, not below.
Females: one-piece suits, or two-piece suits where the two pieces meet. Wearing a t-shirt over a bikini does not meet the appropriate dress standards.
All participants must be fully clothed in accordance to this guide while walking to and from shower facilities.

How much money should I bring?

There will be a few places to optionally spend money
DI Store - Merch and snacks, open each evening
Thursday afternoon outing - All expenses are covered by the team, but you may want extra money for extra
Gas station snacks
*We will be collecting money for a Missions Offering during worship - Give if you feel led
All of this is optional, but $20-$40 should be more than enough
