I read the question very carefully

I know that most questions have clues and key points that will help me answer the question accurately

I can identify key words in the question, perhaps highlighting them or making notes beside the question.

I understand clearly what is required in the answer so I don't include irrelevant information.

I can remember key concepts including correct words to that your answer

I can read code, I notice variables and calculations as well as constructs like loops, if-selectors, functions and conditions

I am ready to make use of code from other questions in the exam paper to help me write new code

I have memorised the standard algorithms, I'm ready to recognise them and write them

I can read diagrams and quickly highlight the key parts and find clues.

I make sure that I refer to the clues and key words in the question when I am writing the answer

I can make connections between different clues in the question to work out an answer (eg CSS + HTML) or sample data and a loop or IF selector)

I always read over and check my answers, ticking off the clues to make sure I haven't missed anything.

I can use a calculator effectively when I need to (eg binary numbers)

I can spot how different lines of code work together or affect one another

I look back at other parts of a question to look for clues to help understand the part I'm working on.
