Budget corrections RWA

Christoffer Boman

'- We have very clearly communicated and presented to all involved at ISP, UR and Sida, that our two PhD students need extra months in Sweden for the coming year period, not at least since they have been refused to allocate 6 months per year in Sweden before, and since they are in a very critical phase the coming year to be able to manage their research education work (lab work, writing, courses, ….) and be ready for dissertation. Thus we proposed for 9 months in Sweden for Sabine, and 8 months for Brigitte, the coming year!

- The funds allocated for the Audit (20 000 SEK) is too low, since last year we paid 37 000 SEK for that.

The wrong overhead rate was applied to the expenditure; the correct expenditure rate is 47% (salary overhead seems accurate).

The sub-programme asks for a correction in the 2024/25 budget; supervision funds for Alice need to be added retroactively.

The sub-programme needs SEK 7,000 extra for the audit.

- The sub-programme wasn't paid for the supervision of Jean Bosco in 2024/25. It needs an extra SEK 250,000 for costs already incurred. The sub-programme promised to include the supervision fee in the budget for 2025/26, but didn't.

- The sub-programme had asked for 6 months' allowances for Colores and 10 months for Alex.

'- A budget for the audit (SEK 30,000) needs to be added.

- The sub-programme needs funds for one visit to Rwanda for ADM and project work.

Veronica Trepagny

'- The sub-programme had asked for resources for the delayed PhD student (supervision funds and travel funds for the defence).

- The sub-programme wonders how subscriptions to journals and e-resources will be paid.

Lars Hartvigsson

Everything except PhD training was removed without consultation. What was removed was:

- Evaluation of the national PhD programme;

- Funds for regional collaboration;

- International conference.

- The summation doesn't add up. The total for LU should be SEK 400,000, not SEK 300,000.

- Should LU get SEK 300,000 for three workshops?
