Grant is based on scoring criteria, but doesn’t sound like it’s based on actual business history etc

partners with 5 more clients who have a lot more totalling about 15K personal planning clients

Product update
using Jira and Jam to record bugs, and have squashed a lot of the bugs
Has set up staging and live environments

AWS
doesn’t know anything about how it’s built, eg doesn't know what it’s front end is built in. but his business partner, nicole, runs the product roadmap and coordinates the different developers.

Product is pretty basic so far
Inputting data from Xero is next stage, so that it automatically pulls in business details

Wants to work with cloudsoft but they’re too expensive.

Plan is to go for more investment and grants.

Need to validate the existing setup to see if the product is something people would be willing to pay for.

In terms of building the rest of the product, planning on working with the original developer who has been causing problems.
I see why VCs kick it down the road - a wait and see approach would be the best approach for right now.

Doesn’t see the value of 2.5% of the business for our offering

maybe we can make an agreement now which has a categorical timeline - he said that he’s happy to do that.
