I would love to continue to give back and help out someone, the same way others helped me out when I was in the middle of my career change.

I have been in tech for a while in different companies and roles. I feel like I can help and I want to be the mentor I missed while I started.

I’ve benefited a lot from the first pollination program as a mentee and would like to help another woman to find her way into tech. I work as a frontend developer now and will be happy to help anyone willing to explore JavaScript or TypeScript. I’m still learning myself but since I’ve managed to change careers I think I can share some tips that helped me to land my first tech job.

I came to Sweden 4.5 years ago with background/career in chemical engineering to be with my partner. I struggled to find a job for almost 1.5 years due to language barrier even though I had a solid education background and working experience. So I sustained my life with part time jobs at restaurants while teaching myself data skills to stay in Sweden. If there's anyone who's working to change their career to data to stay in Sweden, I'd like to let the person know that "you are not alone, if I can do it you can do it too"!I hope to become a good friend to the mentee, and give useful tips and courage on their career changing road to become a data analyst/scientist.

Since I started studying computer science and when I joined the tech industry, I noticed the absence of more women, but the few ones I met were incredibly amazing and talented. I want to help more women to get into this area as I know it can change lives, but in the beginning can be pretty tough.

I mentored in the first half of 2022 with Beela and enjoyed the experience: to be of help, to provide answers, to guide, to cheer them on, to put experiences into perspective, to celebrate with them and be a part of their journey.I life in Sweden since a couple of years and can see in friends and acquaintances how hard it is to find a job in Sweden. If I can help someone in their journey in any way, I am happy to do that.

Beela's mission is inspiring and I want to contribute. Diversity is not in good shape in software. I think that I have the experience to help people taking their initial steps in this industry.

Mentoring gives me the chance to encourage, teach and engage with people who are at the start of their professional journey and at the time where they see things differently. Also I believe it enriches my private and professional level as an expat, professional and women.
