I need a mentor very much for three reasons.Firstly, I have transitioned to IT industry recently, so I am very longing for getting some insight and advice from experienced ones. So I believe that it would be great if I get a mento for this.Secondly, I am an immigrant East-Asian woman in Stockholm so sadly I do not have a lot of contacts in Sweden at the moment. I believe this mentorship program would help me to get me into Swedish IT industry world.Last but not least, I would love to get a mentorship since I do not know which position I would fit into IT Industry in Sweden. There are so many job titles and company types so I sometimes feel confused and lost. So it would be very helpful if I can get to have a mentor so that I can find my way to the IT world

I am really looking forward to taking part in this year's mentorship. Currently I am taking part in a Data Engineer bootcamp with Academic Work that leads to a one year contract. If it works out, this will be my first full time job in Sweden. While I am really focusing on the upskilling part at the moment, I really need guidance in other aspects, such as, networking, job interviews, portfolios... Yes please, I'd love to have a mentor in UX Design or UX Game Design. I learned UX mainly through courses and almost not much practice, my freelancing jobs I could not work with a UX Senior or have a proper UX Senior mentor with whom to work in an internship. I searched desperately for internships or junior jobs as UX and they are unavailable. However, a company who is in need of a Senior decided to give me an opportunity and give me a junior/graduate job and I want your support PLEASE to make it the best possible, give the best impression possible so they hire me permanently after probation. As I never worked closely with a senior UX in an internship (I had to do all the UX tasks by myself) my confidence is "so so", having a mentor would be great if not crucial to be able to stay in the company that gave me this opportunity. I have been looking for this UX job in Sweden since October 2021 and finally be able to land this job is something I feel I dont want to risk to any error or wrong impression. The job starts August 22nd.Your mentorship would increase my changes of success and greatly appreciated! You'd change my life for good.
