Campaigns

Campaigns allow for tracking of the effectiveness of fundraising and marketing efforts. Using a campaign hierarchy makes it easy to summarize the totals of all child campaigns on the parent campaign. They also help compare tactics to determine which are the most effective. The following campaign hierarchy was created for the Coalition for Home Repair (click each to expand):

Renewal Ask 2022

The status options on the campaign were updated: they were changed from “Responded” & “Sent” to “Donated,” “Asked” & “Not Asked.”
This change was made to better reflect the information that needs to be collected for this campaign.
Lapsed donors were added to the renewal campaign.
By adding the Contact SYBUNT report to this campaign, we can easily invite those contacts to give this year, and track when they do. SYBUNT stands for Some Year But Unfortunately Not This Year. These donors have given in the past, just not this year (yet)

Enhanced Email Settings

Enhanced Email Settings was turned on.
This setting allows you to track email sends, opens, and clicks with emails sent from Salesforce. According to Salesforce, once enabled, “Emails are no longer stored as tasks, but as full-featured records, complete with details, related lists, and collaboration tools. On email records, users can view their messages exactly as their customers do, complete with formatting.”

Enhanced Letterhead and Lightning Email Templates

Enhanced letterhead was created with the Coalition’s logo in the header. The address, phone number, and website appear in the footer.
Lightning email template was created for Giving Tuesday.
Email templates that use enhanced letterhead allow you to easily send professional email to the members of campaigns.
