How to leverage social media to build a strong personal brand?
My friend Natt recently blew up on IG, gaining 78k followers in just 1 month! Pretty wild stuff.
Let's break down how he did it:
First, Natt found his niche: He focused on what he was naturally good at and passionate about. No confusion about the brand, which was about video editing.
Next, he started sharing his work: He took raw clips from popular podcasts and edited then in his unique, attention-grabbing style. He shared his before/after videos showcasing the results.
Most importantly, Consistency: On one of his early videos someone commented that he would quit after just 6 more of these style of videos. Natt proved him wrong, he’s 20 days in and he’s not stopping any time soon.
Something Bigger: Making this more than just a instagram page for video editing, Natt and his partner Sky have taken steps to build a community for editors to grow with each other.
Monetize: They are finding and recruiting talented editors who can edit in an unique style which is wanted by many influencers and content creators. They will build a business will go on to make thousands of dollars per month.
Ket takeaway: Find your niche, be consistent, build a community, and monetize. By focusing on video editing, Natt carved out his space on social media and turned it into a personal brand and business.
We all have unique talents we can share. You just have to start creating and let your work speak for itself. Natt's story shows it's never too late to put yourself out there.
