Given all the buzz about CODA, there’s been a spike of Google searches about the movie in the last year or so (especially after it was nominated for best picture last month). As luck would have it, Coda is also the name of an online tool you can use with your team at work. We’ve been kind of lucky to see all the traffic from people looking for CODA the movie, but then after you visit the

you realize it has nothing to do with a movie about “Child of Deaf Adults” 😉. I decided to create some CODA content on Coda to bridge the gap and share why you might care about Coda as a workplace tool. This is like Coda inception.

First off, what is Coda (not CODA, the movie)?

This page you are on is actually a Coda doc (you can publish Coda docs to the Internet). Coda is a doc for teams, and you can mix and match tables, text, and buttons. Coda combines the best of Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, and other tools to let you build your own custom CRM, project tracking tool, and more. As a quick example, click on the button below to add new characters to the CODA cast table. If you want to have your edits save in a Coda doc, you need to make a copy of this doc (click the Copy Doc in the top right)
