As a founding member of the Media Processing team, you will help enhance, design, own, and maintain Spext’s core Media Processing pipeline, which can generates and processes thousands of new audios and videos per day.

Who’s a self-learner that quickly grasps new concepts and skills and loves tackling non trivial technical challenges relevant for our domain, both through introducing new code and tools as well as utilising and tweaking existing ones.
Developing new audio & video related features using an industry-standard set of tools.
Leading end to end solutions from requirements to production.
Implementation of in-house solutions and integration with CTO services
Experiment with new tools, 3rd party libraries, and frameworks
An highly motivated and big-headed “all-rounder”, which takes great joy in doing domain-specific tasks as well as infrastructure-related tasks.
Ability to cope with code complexity challenges autonomously, including drill in into core modules and third-party open source libraries source code.
Experience in owning a feature end to end from research and design to implementation and deployment
Experience in measuring performance and monitoring a feature on production systems.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, etc')
Experience in working in a complex multi-tier / microservices environment
Experience in web-based scalable systems
Experience and willingness to refactor existing code and rewrite code in a different programming language
Experience in writing new Services from scratch.
Familiarity with web (HTTP, REST, Headers, Streaming, etc)
Ability and willingness to work with Golang, Python and Node.
Experience with Video and Image Processing tools and libraries (ffmpeg, VLC, ImageMagick, OpenCV, ExifTool, etc') - Big Advantage
Experience with Python and Node - Big Advantage
Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Github actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI - Advantage
