Provisional ARCHITECT’S WIKI Doc Outline

This is the format of the proposed DOC that will hold all the management tools for the 3 Aspects. There would be four main sections to the Doc: CURRENT, PROJECTS, BUSDEV (Business Development); MANAGEMENT. Each section heading expands to show the proposed content (click arrow).

CURRENT

The first heading, CURRENT, holds the tables and forms that everyone uses daily. Each item is filtered to show just the information relevant to this staff member.

DESIGN BUDGETS

A table showing all active Project-Phases, their design budgets and the amount charged against the budget.

TASKS

A list of all the project tasks that have not been completed. Tasks are organized by project and phase with easy filtering to focus on the area of interest. Master tasks can be selected in a group and copied to a Project.

SCHEDULE

An overall schedule showing due dates for project milestones.

PROJECTS

A table of all active projects with each project’s details linked to the table. These are four examples of details.

A table of all project-related contacts - clients, consultants, contractors

PROCEDURES

A table of all the firm’s project-related procedures. These are referenced by the table of TASKS.

BUSDEV

TASKS

A list of all the Business Development tasks that have not been completed. Tasks are organized by project with easy filtering to focus on the area of interest. Master tasks can be selected in a group and copied to a Project.

PIPELINE

A table of all prospective projects that are being pursued and the stage that they are in, estimated success, and relative value to the firm.

PROSPECTS

A table of all past, present and prospective clients.

CONTENT

A table of published articles and blog posts, including future topics, deadlines and status.

PROJECT HISTORIES

A table of all completed designs with descriptions and key images. These are viewable as a website page.

MANAGEMENT

TASKS

A list of all the management tasks that have not been completed. Tasks are organized by area and initiative with easy filtering to focus on the area of interest. Master tasks can be selected in a group and copied to an initiative.

TIME

A table of all time submitted.

BOOKKEEPING

A table of money transactions assigned to projects and categories.

PEOPLE

A table of staff, vendors and others.

PAYROLL

A table of all time submitted during the past pay period with labor rates and subtotals for use with a payroll service.

PROJECT MILESTONES

A checklist of key milestone for each project.

SOFTWARE & EQUIPMENT

A database of software and equipment purchases, leases, support information and resolution.

FINANCIAL MODEL

Integrated tables and formulas for determining how effectively the firm is organized.

FEES

Project fee information.

INVOICING

Integrated tables, text and formulas for producing invoices from time cards and budget status.
