401(k)s are complicated. We’re looking for a driven and passionate designer who can help us make the process of consolidating old retirement accounts feel simple and secure for our users. You’ll be working with our founders, developers, and junior designer to upgrade the first version of our product, continuing to improve Manifest’s user experience.

On any given day, you will be…

Working with our founding team and UX designer on the branding of our website, mobile application

Designing the layout, illustrations, icons, and copy for our marketing materials

Updating and maintaining our design systems library

Collaborating with our frontend developers and UX designer in developing new product features

Who we’re looking for:

An experienced UI designer who is a team player and is eager to build our mobile application interface in a nimble, collaborative start-up environment.

2-3 years of experience

Prior experience (or desire for) working in an early-stage startup environment

Empathetic understanding of consumer needs and experiences

Desire to grow in your career and skillset

We care less about the years of experience you have and more about the impact of your efforts, your work ethic, and your desire to be an instrumental player in building a business

Previous experience working at (or with) a financial services product/passion for personal finance and retirement savings is a plus

You will:

Identify and educate our team on best practices, push boundaries, and explore new territory

Use visual communication skills to make the complex simple for our team and users

Utilize your skills in Figma, Sketch, or AdobeXD to help us brand our website, mobile applications, and other marketing materials

Update and maintain our design systems library

Align designs with copy; ensure there is a strong connection between writing and visuals

Apply your graphic design skills to:

Collaborate with our founders, frontend developers, and UX designers to design features

Illustrate icons and images for our web application and marketing materials

Design layouts for our marketing materials

Apply digital design techniques to build out the Manifest web application

To do a great job in this position, ideally, you’ll have UI experience with a specialization in financial services.
