IN THE WISTAR MORRIS ROOM 10:50-53 3 Minutes

Anthony At this time we will head to our classrooms upstairs. Raise your hand if you are 3,4, or 5 years old. Welcome! Please stand up if you are 3,4,5 years old and follow Ms.s Molly, Emily, and Carol to your classroom. [Wait until younger kids depart] Now, raise your hand if you are 6,7,8,9,10 or 11 years old. Welcome to you, too! Please stand up and follow me, Ms.s Christy, Donna, and Davorka upstairs to your classroom.

CLASSROOM TIME 10:55 - 11:30 35 minutes

Early Learners (Molly, Emily, Carol).
Multiage Learners (Christy, Davorka, Donna).

DONUT PARTY 11:35 - 11:50 15 minutes

11:35 - 11:37: Setting up the Scene
The younger kids (3-8 years old) take their seats with Molly and Emily.
11:37 - 11:39: Preparation by Older Kids
Davorka and Donna lead the older kids (9-11 years old) in distributing the plates, napkins, and cups to each setting. This act introduces them to the role of service and participation in the shared meal.
11:39 - 11:41: Donuts Arrival
Anthony gets the donuts and oat milk ready, displaying them on a tray or central table.
11:41 - 11:43: Thanksgiving by Christy
Christy leads the group in a short Thanksgiving prayer over the donuts and oat milk. Link to the story's themes about shared meals and thanksgiving.
11:43 - 11:50 Eating and Sharing
Everyone can now enjoy their donuts and oat milk. The older kids, having finished their service role, can sit down and enjoy.
~11:47: Engagement by Emily and Davorka
While kids are still enjoying / wrapping up their treats, Emily and Davorka can initiate a Taste and See sing along reviewing the symbols and song.
11:47 - 11:50: Wrapping Up & Transition
As the party concludes, Molly and Donna begin the donut party cleanup. Meanwhile, Christy and Carol can start the process of cleaning up the upstairs classrooms. Emily and Davorka sing the song until it’s boring. Then transition into a game like “Take Bread, Take Bread, Share! (which is a variation on duck duck goose).

DISMISSAL

Anthony: monitor for parents and connect them with kids.
Emily and Davorka: game / song with kids as they are dismissed.
Molly and Donna: donut party clean up.
Christy and Carol: Upstairs classrooms clean up.
