Can we team up with friends? Or is this solo? The teams will be made by the Organizing Team and shared with you all, so you will not be able to choose the people on your team
Is there a dress code that we need to follow? No, there is no particular dress code for this event. Although we request everyone to maintain the Schoolhouse standards by following a decent and classroom-appropriate dress code, behaviour, and language.
Is attending both training sessions mandatory? You are required to attend just one training session. We have scheduled two sessions to accommodate both Eastern and Western time zones, ensuring everyone can attend the training session. Feel free to choose the session that is most convenient for your time zone!
How much time will we be given to prepare for the debates? The official tournament will commence 3 days after the end of the training sessions, which gives participants time to get familiar with the format and procedure of the debate tournament and gain a good knowledge of the modified WSDC format. The training sessions will be followed by a mock debate which allows participants to spectate and learn.
When will the motions for each round be released? The motions will be released 30 minutes before the regular rounds and hours before the finals, giving teams enough time to prepare. As long as you follow Schoolhouse's age restriction policies (that is, you are 13 or over), you are welcome to join!
What if I can't attend all the sessions? Is there any way I can still participate? Unfortunately, we require participants to be able to join all the sessions. You can still register as an audience member, though!
How many members does one team have? Each team has three members, and teams will be assigned to you, so you don't need to worry about bringing your own team to the tournament.
