Cross Border Xpress (CBX) Partnership and Vaccine Implementation Plan

Current Partnership Benifits

Our partnership with Cross Border Xpress (CBX) has yielded significant benefits for both our organizations and the communities we serve. Here are some of the key highlights:
Convenient Access to Vaccination Services: Since the inception of our partnership, we have provided convenient access to vaccination services for CBX clients, offering a wide range of vaccines tailored to different age groups. Our presence at CBX has made it easier for travelers and local residents alike to access essential vaccines conveniently, without the need for extensive travel or scheduling appointments elsewhere.
Positive Client Feedback and Satisfaction: Our vaccination services at CBX have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from clients, who appreciate the convenience and accessibility of our offerings. Many clients, including full families ranging from newborns to grandparents, have expressed satisfaction with the ease of accessing vaccinations at a major transportation hub like CBX.
Support for Mexican Resident Neighbors: Our partnership with CBX has also benefited our Mexican resident neighbors, who often face challenges in accessing vaccines in their home country. By providing vaccination services at CBX, we have helped bridge this gap and eliminated barriers to vaccine access for Mexican families, particularly for children seeking COVID-19 vaccinations not available in Mexico.
Collaboration with Mexican Consulate's Ventanilla De Salud: We have established a strong relationship with the Mexican Consulate's Ventanilla De Salud, collaborating on public health initiatives and complementing each other's services. Our joint efforts, including their COVID-19 testing services, have further enhanced access to essential healthcare services for the community on both sides of the border.
Recognition and Awards: Our successful partnership with CBX has garnered recognition from public health officials, with CBX CEO Jorge Goyturtua receiving the 2023 Partner of the Year award for our collaborative efforts. This recognition highlights the impact and effectiveness of our partnership in promoting bi-national health and community well-being.
CBX as a Pillar of Public Health: Through our partnership, CBX has emerged as more than just a travel hub but also a vital location for maintaining health and well-being. Our presence at CBX has transformed it into a trusted site for accessing essential healthcare services, reinforcing its role as a pillar of public health in the region.
Clinical Experience for Healthcare Students: Additionally, our partnership with CBX extends to educational institutions such as the schools of nursing and medicine, which send their students to complete community health rotations with us. CBX is one of their most valued clinical sites, offering students a unique opportunity to gain insight into clinical experiences across all ages and work with populations they may not encounter in a regular clinic setting.
These benefits underscore the importance and success of our partnership with CBX, serving as a testament to our shared commitment to promoting community health and well-being.
Below are datasets pulled from the monthly reports submitted to CBX:

*Influenza vaccines are not available in the US between the month of July - early September

*September 2023 is when the COVID-19 Vaccine Program switched to which meant that there was a disruption of COVID-19 availability across the state. All providers had to develop strategies to work with health plans and review insurance coverage at this time*

*The only month we did less than 600 doses was in September 2023 when CDPH stopped all providers from administering mid month as the COVID-19 as a new formulation which was due to come out in October 2023 with the new eligibility requirements.

We can share gender, age, and zip code patient data upon request.
