General INFORMATION
This activity enables to strengthen the ties between the volunteers and the organization. For the participants, it is a good opportunity to stay active in volunteering at any time of the year. It is suitable for all who have a lack of time to participate at a normal workcamp. It’s useful to diversify the topics of volunteering days as well as the localities where the events take place.
🎩 Pro tip: Identify a topic according to what your volunteers really care about, e.g. check what workcamps were the most popular this year.

Step-by-step IMPLEMENTATION
Warming up - “During my workcamp…” (10-15 minutes)
Participants stand in a circle. One participant takes a step to the front, and shares a fun fact related to their workcamp. If it’s true for others, they have to switch places.
Eg. During my workcamp, I had to talk with a stranger. During my workcamp, I made really good friends. During my workcamp, I did something I never did before in my life.
Facilitator should start the round to make the nature of the statements clear for the participants.
💻Virtual version: turning cameras on and off can substitute the movement part of the activity in an online environment.
Plan the event with the local partner
🎩 Pro tip: Coordinate as many details as possible. Sign a standardized contract.
Make promo and recruitment of the participants
🎩 Pro tip: Make the promo in the location where the event is going to take place. Decide the minimal number of volunteers to make the event happen.
