We set out consumer rights that are called Consumer Guarantees.
These include your rights to refund where a product or service you buy or sell fails to meet our consumer guarantee.
Purpose
This policy applies to the refund of tutoring session fees that have been paid by students/parents (‘You’ or ‘you’) to AlGooru.
Refunds will be made to the account from which the fees were originally and we will use the same means of payment as you used for the Order, and you will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.
All refunds will be made within 3-5 business days of written notification.
CANCELLATION OF SESSIONS BY STUDENT:
The Student may cancel the session by giving at least 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor in which case no tuition fees will be incurred.
Sessions not attended by the Student without giving 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor shall be charged at the full rate.
Full refund will be provided if the tutor is not up to the standard in the first-hour lesson and you report this via the system within 24 hours from the course start time.
CANCELLATION OF SESSION BY TUTOR:
Where a lesson was pre-paid, the Tutor shall reschedule the appointment at a time agreeable to both parties, failing which the Student shall be refunded with such a missed lesson fee.
In the event of a course being rescheduled by Tutors, the student will be notified by the team and be given the options of attending the next scheduled session or a full refund which will be provided to the student at the time that he/she is notified about the course rescheduling or cancellation.
LATE ARRIVAL:
No adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the Student.
Students who arrive late will only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled session. There will be no prolonged sessions.
Any lost time because of the late arrival of the Tutor shall be compensated for by extending a lesson by mutual agreement and by such amount of time that was lost.
NO SHOW POLICY:
If a student is late for a lesson, the teacher will wait up to 10 minutes before the student will be considered absent and thus will not be refunded for the lesson.
No discount or refunds shall be given in respect of lessons not attended by the Student.
