Hi! Congratulations on making it to the second stage of our interview process. We had around 1000 applicants for our Growth Marketing role, and we’ve picked you because we really loved our conversation with you and believe that you could be a good fit at Scrollmark.
The Remaining Process
At this point, we move fairly quickly. Here are the final steps:
The Project Interview: Described below The Onsite: We have an onsite where you’ll meet Akshay again, Nikhil (CTO), JB (Sales), and virtually connect with other team members. Within a few days of the onsite, we will typically deploy an offer.
Project Interview
You’ve been handed the task of growing a competitive brand to , a budget () social media scheduling platform. The product is identical, and you’re in a world in which does not exist (but, of course, its competitors do). There is no brand yet, and no users. You’re the sole marketer. You’ve been tasked with generating traffic amongst digital content creators/influencers who post on Instagram and TikTok. What do you do in the first 90 days? Here’s some specific questions we’d love you to go over:
Generating Traffic - How would you generate traffic and brand awareness in your ICP? How would you start understanding your ICP? How would you research your competitors? What research would you do around channel and messaging? Do some of that initial research (show your work) tell us what your initial strategy would be. This question should take the bulk of your time; I’d rather you go really deep on 2-3 tactics rather than broad on many. Measurement strategy - How do you measure how different messaging, channels, and strategies? How do you track how far a viewer is in the consideration funnel, and how do you use that information? How would you adjust based on what’s working v.s. what’s not? Support - What support would you ask for? How would you budget agencies and paid spend? What tech tools would you use? (You can skip conversion & product marketing)
Format: You can use any written format you want - word doc, presentation, notion/coda doc. If you want, you can attach an explainer video/loom video as well.
