What is FancyZones?

FancyZones is a window manager utility developed by Microsoft as part of their PowerToys suite of utilities for Windows 10. It allows you to create custom layouts for your screen and then easily snap applications into those predefined zones.

With FancyZones, you can have complex window layouts that go beyond the simple side-by-side or quarter-screen snapping provided by default in Windows. These layouts can be saved and used across different monitors and screen setups.
