What is Replit?
We use Replit, a collaborative workspace, for coding. All users (coaches and students) get a profile with a username and can practice writing code that can be viewed in real-time. It’s important for you to familiarise yourself with Replit, as you will be supporting students to do projects and troubleshoot issues with them :)
Getting started on Replit
Watch to get an introduction to replit. With your Replit account you’ve already created, join the . On the Coaches team is where you will complete the Project Tracks that you will coach Username should be set as the first 3 letters of your name + first 3 letters of your surname+001, e.g. Carol Dweck = CARDWE001 (this was created for your demo session exercise). During sessions, you will be able to go into a student’s work to see how they’re progressing or where they’re getting stuck. You can also view a student’s finished submissions before a class to check which level they have completed, or after a class to see if they’ve completed all the steps. () When in doubt, or not seeing what they’re explaining, ask them to share screen :)

is a go-to resource for Replit troubleshooting. Alternatively, there are many other online resources just a google search away - be proactive and prepared to learn a lot in the process! If you’re running into any issues during a session that you can’t resolve, please let the Coach Lead know. If the issue cannot be solved in real-time, please try to continue with the lesson in a creative way that’s not disruptive to the learning experience.
