Commenting Deep Dive


FYI: When I said versioning I meant just having the hour time stamp when the comment was created, not actual versioning of the edit history.

Commenting Environments

Assets side modal when the ‘creative’ field is clicked on from the data table

Comment Field - add the comment field, view how many comments are on the assets in the primary creative field, click and open up a smaller comment modal

Types of Comments

General comments - these are general comments for all creatives in the folder
These comments only appear in the asset modal that pops out from the data table or the comment field in the data table
General comments do not show in any of the specific assets
Asset specific comments - these are comments left on specific assets
These comments will show in the general comment view with a tag of the file name (see video)
The tag will not show when you are looking at the specific asset

Commenting Scope

Hours and days ago comment was added
Resolve
When resolved you can filter to resolved comments and see the resolved comments
Non-resolved comments are open comments
All comments are either

Have the filter options at top of comment section in the data table view and asset specific view
Comment replies aren’t needed unless it’s not a big lift on scope - would be a nice to have

Edit comment (we don’t need edit history versioning)
Delete comment

If possible - timestamp on asset specific comments for video (as shown in video)
If possible - comment annotations (as shown in video)
