Job Description
This role is responsible for developing and overseeing an organization’s digital initiatives and online presence across all key platforms, including LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social channels. This role involves crafting strategies to leverage digital technologies, social media, video content, podcasts, and online platforms to achieve business objectives. The head of social and digital strategy collaborates with various departments to align digital efforts with organizational goals, enhance user experience, and oversee digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy and Management: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta, Twitter* to drive brand awareness, engagement, and business growth. Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to optimize campaigns and improve ROI. Build and nurture an active online presence by engaging with audiences, responding to feedback, and fostering relationships. Video Content and Podcast Strategy: Develop and execute a robust video content strategy tailored to platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals. Plan, script, and oversee the production of high-quality video content, including tutorials, webinars, product demos, and brand storytelling videos. Strategize and launch a podcast series, focusing on relevant industry topics, thought leadership, and brand messaging to connect with target audiences. Leverage analytics tools to assess the performance of video and podcast content, iterating on strategies for continuous improvement. Content Creation and Distribution: Collaborate with creative teams to produce compelling, platform-specific content that aligns with the brand’s tone and messaging. Develop a content calendar that includes blog posts, videos, podcasts, infographics, and other formats tailored for social media and digital channels. Ensure all content aligns with SEO best practices to maximize reach and visibility. Digital Transformation and Platform Optimization: Leverage tools like LinkedIn Analytics, YouTube Studio, and other platform-specific insights to refine strategies and improve performance. Explore emerging platforms and technologies to expand the organization’s digital footprint and maintain a competitive edge. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leadership teams to align social and digital strategies with overall business objectives. Foster communication across departments to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all platforms. Audience Insights and Engagement: Conduct detailed audience analysis to identify key demographics, preferences, and behaviors on LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms. Create personalized and targeted campaigns that resonate with the audience and drive engagement. Utilize advanced analytics tools to extract insights, identify trends, and inform future strategies. Skills and Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media Studies, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) are highly desirable. Expertise in managing and optimizing LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social platforms, with a strong understanding of platform-specific algorithms and best practices. Experience in video production, podcast creation, and content strategy, including scripting, editing, and distribution. Leadership experience in managing projects, inspiring innovation, fostering collaboration, and driving successful outcomes. Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and develop actionable strategies. Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
