Cover Letter | AimHi Earth

Dear Rachel,
Do you believe in nature?
By nature, I mean the universe—the light that looks after us, makes our wishes come true, or even Santa (I saw your job post just before Christmas). I do. I believe in nature, and when I came across your job listing, I knew I had to take my chance.
Here’s my story:
In May 2024, I experienced a cognitive dissonance I couldn’t shake. An Instagram post casually informed me that every ChatGPT search releases ten times more emissions than a Google search. Around the same time, I listened to Oli Frost’s Vampire Conspiracy and was stumped. One insight after another revealed just how much I—and the rest of us—are harming our planet. I struggled to accept the thought: What can I fordo, beyond turning off the ignition at stoplights?
At the time, I wasn’t in the best mental space for personal reasons, and the idea that I might not even be a “good human” weighed heavily on me. Then, I got a job offer from GoBlu EV, an electric vehicle-based cab service in Australia and Dubai. I didn’t get the job but got something better: hope.
Then I got a job offer from GoBlu EV — an electric vehicle-based cab service in Australia and Dubai. I didn’t get the job, but I got hope. (, you don’t have to read it, but it might provide some context.)
I’m telling you this story because this role is personal — the role aligns with my values and I’ve been looking for it since October, around the time I began disengaging with my freelance clients because they were climate-conscious and hence, did not meet my values (that I discovered in 2024).
Haven’t looked back since then — exploring (and
), , , , . I even landed a in November where I am a climate product manager, working closely with engineers, researchers, and policymakers.
I’ll be the first person to tell you that I am fairly new to the space, but I am not new to researching and writing. And I meet your other requirements as well:
Got a science degree
Experience engaging with diverse perspectives:

Additional Pieces: Material that understands the audience
Type
Name & Link
TA, Description
Website copy
The target audience is policymakers who are not likely to stop and read anything, so the copy is very lead and CTA is emphasized.
Twitter thread
The target audience is brand managers of crypto brands, and they’re good at marketing, but not necessarily with crypto or climate jargon, so the copy had to ‘speak’ to them.
Blog
Please don’t be offended, this is a blog I’d written for Durex and I am mentioning this solely because you said ‘understands your audience’ — teenagers and young adults are very delicate audience when it comes to topics like sex, so content had to be tailored to them.

*These are all very recent pieces. I’m no longer proud of the web copies I wrote in 2023 and earlier, so I’d prefer not to include them.

Some additional notes:

I don’t have proven experience in behavioral psychology, but I have been an avid reader since 2019.
Diversity disclosure: I’m a South Asian (Indian) woman, autistic (self-diagnosed), and (quite possibly) pansexual.

I believe this role aligns perfectly with my purpose: to combine storytelling, science, and behavioral change to create a tangible impact on our planet.
I look forward to the chance to contribute to AimHi Earth’s mission.
