The answer seems simple. Men like to buy porn. With porn consumption at its height and more easily accessible than ever before, OnlyFans has taken the adult industry by storm. But let’s dig a little deeper. If porn is so readily available for free, what makes these men pay their monthly wage on a woman they have never met in real life?
The truth is the subscribers aren’t paying for porn. They are paying for an experience. When you go to a nice steakhouse, let’s say you visit Salt Bae for example, you know that you are getting a steak that is probably about the same quality as one at your local steakhouse. However, you aren’t paying for the steak. You’re paying for: the brand, the side bits, the story line, and the experience.
OnlyFans is the same. Yes, porn is free. However, men (people) want what they can’t have. It’s the relationship that they are seeking. Having a strong relationship with your subs has endless benefits as the sub feels like they have someone to talk to daily or just be appreciated for once in their life (we will talk about the psychology of a sub in depth later). The relationships that you are able to build with your subs will be the most important factor in making the most profit!
How Do Creators Make Money On The Platform
An OnlyFans account has two primary revenue sources
I. Subscriptions
While some models have a free-to-follow account, most require you to have a subscription to view their exclusive content. When you subscribe to a model, you also unlock the ability to chat with her. Which brings us to the second revenue source
II. Messages & Tips
This is where most of the money is made. This is where you build a relationship with your fans and sell the experience, through PPV messages (pay per view content). The content sold is usually explicit pictures and videos of the creator. We sell the content through chatting.
Chatting Ratio & Why Chatting Is Important
For each $1 in subscriptions, you should ideally be making $15 in messages & tips. We call this a 1:15 chatting ratio.
As an example, let’s say the OnlyFans account has 1000 fans, each paying $1 monthly in subscription fees which comes out to a total of $1000 in subscription earnings. If we didn’t chat on the account, we would be stuck making $1000 per month. Not quite what we want.
With chatting and a good 1:15 chatting ratio, we would make $15 000 in messages & tips. Bringing the total profit on the account to $16 000
A normal chatting ratio is usually between 1:7 – 1:10. Most agencies have a ratio of 1:2 – 1:4. By improving chatting, we have time and time again run ratios greater than 1:15.
Don’t Sell Like You Are On The Market
Most new people think that selling content on OnlyFans is the same as selling on an open air market

Focus On The Whales And Think Long-Term
20% of your subs will result in 80% of your revenue.
This small number of subs will buy literally everything you offer them. Elite-level chatting IS NOT ONLY about selling more to everyone – it’s about maxing out the whales and big spenders.
AND IF YOU CHAT LIKE A MINDLESS SEXBOT, YOU WILL TURN THEM OFF IMMEDIATELY.
You want to think long term.
Chatting with the long-term in mind means going through the basic necessities of polite conversation before talking about a sale.
If you do this right, then eventually you’ll come across a few subs who REALLY like talking to you.
They feel like you understand them, that you guys have stuff in common, and that you’re different from the rest of the money-hungry “girls” who are just out there to sell their content.
After long enough, these guys will start to fall in love with you.
They’ll put you on their phone’s home screen, write you poems, and send you obscene amounts of money for absolutely no reason other than that they felt like doing something nice for you.
THIS is the level you want to get to with your chatting.
