Thank you for your interest in being an organizer for the WEHack 2023 iteration! Please keep in mind that this is a 6-8 month long commitment, and you must manage your time responsibly to accommodate WEHack responsibilities. Application link is on the bottom of team descriptions.
Here is a little bit about each team, and what is expected:
As a member of the dev team, you will contribute to making our general WEHack website better, updating and improving the HackPortal, as well as be responsible for the Discord and day of announcements! If you like to develop websites (frontend or backend), this is the team for you!
Marketing and Design Team:
As a member of the design team, you will help with WEHack’s 2023 rebranding. This will involve designing color palettes, graphics, swag designs, etc.. You will also spread the word about WEHack and help grow our hackathon! Recommended to have experience with photo/video editing programs and to be familiar with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and familiar with Canva. If you have an eye for graphic design or are social media savvy, this is the team for you!
Experience and Outreach Team:
As a member of the Experience/Outreach Team, you will plan the events that make WEHack come to life, from speeches by empowering women to technical workshops. You will also help WEHack form strong partnerships with outside organizations, from women empowerment groups to media outlets If you love event-planning and expanding WEhHack’s impact, this is the team for you!
As a member of the Industry Team, you will help WEHack find and maintain industry good relationships with industry sponsors and be their main liaison with WEHack. If you are a pro (or want to be a pro) at networking, this is the team for you!
As a member of the Logistics Team, you will make sure WEHack runs smoothly, from purchasing swag to buying food to organizing the day-of schedule. If you are good at staying organized and want to be involved with all aspects of planning a large hackathon, this is the team for you!
