Vergoโ€™s AI-powered system uses advanced markerless motion capture technology to analyze posture and movement from short video recordings. To get the most accurate and reliable ergonomic insights, follow the guidelines below when recording and uploading your videos.
โ

โœ… What Youโ€™ll Need

Before getting started, make sure you have:
A supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge)
A stable internet connection
A smartphone, tablet, or webcam to capture video
A well-lit, unobstructed area for the task
Access to your Vergo web portal account
โ

๐Ÿ“ General Filming Recommendations

These tips will help ensure that your video submissions result in precise posture tracking and meaningful analysis:
Maintain 8โ€“10 Feet Distance Position the camera approximately 8โ€“10 feet away from the person being recorded. This allows the system to capture the full body and accurately track joint movement.
Keep the Person Centred in the Frame Ensure the individual remains in the middle of the frame. If theyโ€™re too close to the edge, some joints may be missed.
Avoid Visual Obstructions Make sure the entire bodyโ€”including hands and feetโ€”is visible at all times. Avoid objects or people blocking the view.
Use Frontal or Side Views Capture the person from the front or side. Rear views are not recommended as they make 3D joint detection more difficult. Stick to one angle for consistency.
Use at Least 480p Resolution Videos should be recorded in a minimum resolution of 480p. Double-check the settings, especially for pre-recorded files.
Capture Multiple Job Cycles (15โ€“30 Seconds per Clip) Record at least one full job cycle, ideally more if the task is repetitive. Each video should be 15 to 30 seconds long. For longer or complex tasks, break them into shorter clips and upload them separately.
Ensure Visual Contrast The individual should wear clothing that contrasts with the background. For example, avoid dark outfits in front of dark machinery or walls.
Choose Portrait or Landscape Based on Framing Both orientations work, but portrait mode may help keep the full body in view in smaller workspaces.
โ

โš™๏ธ Special Scenarios

Certain situations require additional care for best results:
Filming Multiple People Our system can track more than one individual, but accuracy improves when people are spaced out and do not overlap within the frame.
Hand and Wrist Tracking Currently, Vergo supports wrist flexion and extension tracking only. Avoid bulky gloves, and make sure the wrists and arms are clearly visible.
โ

๐Ÿ”’ Privacy Options

To protect worker identity, you can enable optional privacy features:
Automatic Face Blurring
Background Blurring
These options are available at the time of upload.
