Ranges and spans
Use a hyphen (-) to indicate a range or span of numbers. Don’t use spaces before and after the hyphen.
✅ It takes 20-30 days.
✅ 4K videos can take 2-4 times longer to render.
Hyphen may be freely replaced by the “from/to” combination. If there’s a unit difference, use from/to.
✅ The rendering process may last from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
✅ The whole thing can be done in 5-10 minutes.
⛔ The rendering process may last 30 minutes-1 hour.
A range of years can be abbreviated when the full year is written.
✅ 2016-20
✅ 2020-22
