Development history of the IT industry

The information technology (IT) industry has undergone an incredible history of development. Below are some highlights in the development of the IT industry:
1. 1940-1950 decade: The first period of the IT industry witnessed the birth of the first electronic computers such as ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) and UNIVAC I (Universal Automatic Computer). These computers were initially used in calculating and analyzing data for military and scientific research.
2. 1960-1970 decade: During this period, computers became more compact and had more powerful computing capabilities. Companies such as IBM and DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) continued to develop new types of computers and expand their applications in fields such as business and science.
3. 1980-1990 decade: This was the period when personal computers became popular and access to the Internet became a reality. Companies like Apple and Microsoft launched products like Macintosh and Windows, ushering in the era of personal computers. The Internet also developed rapidly during this time, giving rise to websites, email and online services.
4. Decade 2000-2010: During this period, mobile technology and the Internet have completely changed the way we communicate and use information. The advent of smartphones and mobile applications has opened up a new world of information access and social connection. Web technology also continues to evolve, with the advent of online services such as social networks and online video streaming.
5. Decade 2010-present: In the current era, information technology is continuing to develop at breakneck speed. Artificial intelligence, virtual reality, AI and artificial intelligence have become important trends. New technologies like the cloud, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) are changing the way we work, live and communicate.
