David Pender:
The beginning of better things in May but we're still waiting for it to happen. Kirkston.
Kirkston Dsouza:
So what's the temperature like there right now?
David Pender:
Right. Well the temperature at the moment is 14.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Oh, it's still pretty chilly.
David Pender:
It certainly is.
Kirkston Dsouza:
And there's a heat wave Happening Here in Bombay.
David Pender:
I bet there is.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, it is crazy. It's like 43 44 degrees.
David Pender:
Or how do you cope with that?
Kirkston Dsouza:
8 I mean going out during the day is very difficult. So we usually in the office or at home during these times.
David Pender:
Right. Yeah air conditioning as well.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, you can't do without the air conditioner and in Bombay.
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
to the ocean. So it's pretty humid as well. Yeah, so anyways the managing we
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
still have roughly two months of hot weather to go before the monsoon set in.
David Pender:
Yeah, right. And then the heavy rain comes.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, and then heavy rain comes and then the streets turn into rivers.
David Pender:
Oh my goodness.
Kirkston Dsouza:
It's crazy. But yeah, they having fun. So yeah, David, if you could just
David Pender:
Okay.
Kirkston Dsouza:
tell me a little about yourself and how did videos come into your life
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
and then about in video?
David Pender:
Yeah, I'm I'm a registered counselor.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
Okay, so I actually work with clients. Who have anxiety and require personal development?
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay. Can I enroll for an appointment with you?
David Pender:
You feeling a bit anxious.
Kirkston Dsouza:
obviously
David Pender:
So now I only came across in video the other week.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
I think the software is fantastic. with a couple of exceptions
Kirkston Dsouza:
I'm very sure that will be
David Pender:
when I put my own name and business in It don't always populate on the video.
Kirkston Dsouza:
okay.
David Pender:
Okay. So it would be it would be nice if I was able to get in the population of the script I enter. About David Pender and about anxiety canceling support, but it does not make it a bad program. I think it's I'm 63 now kirkston.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
and I think it's I won't swear because we're recording but I think it is absolutely incredible what they can do with AI these days. As a result of discovering your video
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
software. I've now opened up a YouTube account.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Oh, that's nice.
David Pender:
Okay, because I think when you're advertising for canceling
Kirkston Dsouza:
Mm-hmm.
David Pender:
it's a lot more easier to do it visually. Than what it is to expect somebody who is anxious in the first place to sit down and read a detailed piece of writing.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Got it.
David Pender:
So I want to find my way around the internet that I can get these videos out as effectively as possible. Now as we both know YouTube is owned by Google.
Kirkston Dsouza:
through
David Pender:
And they can be very greedy.
Kirkston Dsouza:
agreed
David Pender:
So so I'm looking for ways and I can actually put the videos out on the internet. Without Google coming along as swallow in the biggest chunk of the profits. But also I have my own brought I have my own blog video blog. on my website anxiety counseling support
Kirkston Dsouza:
okay.
David Pender:
so I can put the videos onto my website free. And they are still picked up on by Google because it's the the company that hosts. My website is Squarespace.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
They are a part of Google as well.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Got it.
David Pender:
Google learns the world brother.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, I agree.
David Pender:
Alright, it owns a whole damn show no matter what you try to do sooner or later. You're going to end up giving Google money.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Through that I agree.
David Pender:
You know, so but creation wise. I'm enjoying it.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
Now I'm finding out about it all the time. I'm actually discovering that this magic box. Is quite something really when you as you begin to learn how to use it.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah.
David Pender:
I would love to know the technology VI in that magic box. But hey, ho.
Kirkston Dsouza:
It is Magic.
David Pender:
It's only as good as a person in developed it, right.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah.
David Pender:
But it's but it's good software.
Kirkston Dsouza:
I mean, we're trying to make it better. It's still pretty buggy and still in the nation stages, but we're trying to speak to users and see what we can do to make it better.
David Pender:
I've actually selected as well to be sent the test the test material that
Kirkston Dsouza:
beta test
David Pender:
you're going to roll out for people to test as well.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, yeah, that's me. I mean the beta test is.
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, yeah.
David Pender:
Yeah, so signed up all that. It's like it's like any thing else. It's it's the beginning of a new era. It's the beginning of the new age
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
we've at we've actually moved on in
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
digital creation there and the AI is only just this year beginning to appear big scale. Would you agree with that?
Kirkston Dsouza:
True. I mean it'll get better and better from here.
David Pender:
It's been a lot of years. It's been a lot of years in the making. but it's just now getting into the
Kirkston Dsouza:
through
David Pender:
hands of the General Public. So there's going to be blips along the way. you know you you got to expect that because It's like this is why so many of these big International companies who have been trading for years. roll out the software a piece at a time because it gives them time to put the blips right before it gets too big like but I'm impressed.
Kirkston Dsouza:
thank you so much.
David Pender:
Now I am I am impressed.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Thank you.
David Pender:
So Okay.
Kirkston Dsouza:
But apart from anything the name and your business and it not obeying your commands. Is there anything else that's
David Pender:
I could do I could do with it I could
Kirkston Dsouza:
troubling?
David Pender:
I could do with it bringing up anxiety canceling support UK. And also my name David Pender, but for 20 old pound a month, we can't expect too much not.
Kirkston Dsouza:
So I have a suggestion. So why don't you give it a link to your blog? The about us page or something like that and see if it takes data out
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
from that and makes the video because we've programmed it to do that.
David Pender:
How do I link it to the how do I link it to the blog?
Kirkston Dsouza:
So no in the prompt box when you say give me a topic and make a video from it. I'll make a video if you input the link in that box and just write make a video using the content from this link. It should be able to do that.
David Pender:
right
Kirkston Dsouza:
I mean it does Miss sometimes but
David Pender:
I will.
Kirkston Dsouza:
it's mostly supposed to do it. I tried it myself and it worked but
David Pender:
Okay.
Kirkston Dsouza:
if it doesn't work for you, please give me a heads up whenever you try. You have my email address. You can drop me an email.
David Pender:
Yeah, but you know at the end of the day it's in the developmental stage of rollout. I can see I can see this in 12 months
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah.
David Pender:
time being something that absolutely blows people's minds away.
Kirkston Dsouza:
I mean that's that's what we're all aiming for.
David Pender:
Yeah, yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
We're hoping to get there soon.
David Pender:
It will be great because like I say. When you look at the software that you offering there for what 25 pound a month? It's a great package because there is so much potential there. I mean that magic box all we do is type words into it and it does within reason what you ask it.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah.
David Pender:
So it's got to be connected to some intelligent server behind it or something.
Kirkston Dsouza:
So there's something that we have made internally and we're still developing it pretty much every day.
David Pender:
Yeah. Yeah, because I would imagine how long is the company been in existence for now?
Kirkston Dsouza:
So we actually have two products one is the in video AI that you are using that has come we went live with it in
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
August of last year, but we've been working on it since January of last year. And we have another product that is
David Pender:
Okay.
Kirkston Dsouza:
in video Studio that's been there since 2018 end
David Pender:
All right.
Kirkston Dsouza:
so that's a proper timeline based
David Pender:
Okay.
Kirkston Dsouza:
video editor more for a professional use case and in video AI is more for
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
like new users who not really that comfortable editing.
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
video editing
David Pender:
I know what you mean. So with a timeline you had you you had your own clips and put your own narration.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Correct, correct.
David Pender:
That's hard work, right? That's hard work.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, that's that's a lot of work. So we realized let's make something else that a new user will be able to get quickly.
David Pender:
Yeah, yeah. Now I'm I'm impressed with the with the efficiency it brings up a good narration. But it misses it misses out my name and and the company which is a little bit. On the downside but nothing nothing that's actually going to turn me away as such.
Kirkston Dsouza:
I mean, we will try to fix that. We in fact are fixing it in the beta version in the V2 beta.
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
So hopefully probably every day if you probably give it a shot. You should see changes happening.
David Pender:
Fair enough fair enough wrong. They have an old saying that Rome was not built in a day.
Kirkston Dsouza:
through that
David Pender:
I can imagine they're coming in in that they must be coming in at the masses to join this software at the moment, aren't they?
Kirkston Dsouza:
Sorry, sorry, I didn't follow.
David Pender:
They must be coming in in large numbers to join up to this software at the moment.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, we currently have a little less than a million users.
David Pender:
Yeah. The board of directors are well happy then.
Kirkston Dsouza:
I know but we want to make it better and better I mean, so to be honest, I have been a filmmaker for the past 10 years and I recently got into this
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
side of the business and making video editing software that everybody can use.
David Pender:
Yeah, are you a director or you just an employee?
Kirkston Dsouza:
No, no, I used to direct and produce ad films.
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
So a lot of the Mercedes and the Suzuki car ads I have worked.
David Pender:
Oh, yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yes.
David Pender:
Wow.
Kirkston Dsouza:
And then I decided to give it a short making video editing software when we decoration tools.
David Pender:
water amazing life Well, yeah filming the commercials for for the car companies and things like that.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, yeah.
David Pender:
Wow.
Kirkston Dsouza:
and now to this
David Pender:
That's great. and I want and now on to this so so even even you have a deep appreciation of the technology behind it.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Correct, correct. I mean we have an incredible that team but they also using part of my brains and another colleagues brains who we worked in the film industry to use that knowledge to make the video creation tool better and better.
David Pender:
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's good, you know. You know I can imagine that I can imagine at the moment. There's a process where the more people that submit data. The more you the more you act the more effective information you gather as well. So
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah, I mean so we are using how I use a mix like so everybody even including you will make videos in a particular way. I will make videos in a particular
David Pender:
yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
way. How do we talk to the AI maybe different? So we're trying to understand that data and make the AI understand that better so that it gives you the
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
desired output.
David Pender:
I also like the fact that within the package. We actually we actually get the istock images now you can spread you.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah.
David Pender:
Now, you can spread you. Can you can spend a fortune on istock images in the first place?
Kirkston Dsouza:
Correct.
David Pender:
so, you know, it's what you would spend on I stock images from a normal subscription.
Kirkston Dsouza:
hmm
David Pender:
Is probably more. Than what the video package cost on a monthly basis.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yes. Yes. So so we have diapers pretty much all the stock footage providers and
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
istock is the premium stock footage provider. So that's the one that we only have limits on. Otherwise the rest you can use unlimited and all of them are pretty good in fact.
David Pender:
Yeah, yeah, it's great. That's great. Because I sometimes use picks up a pixel bike.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Mmm Yeah
David Pender:
You just pixel by.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Yeah pixel base also in our tool as well.
David Pender:
Yeah, yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Of use all of them.
David Pender:
I think I think from my marketing Prospect. I think it's far better to put something in front of somebody. Where they just got to press the switch and enjoy the content. Rather than rather than reading a written word.
Kirkston Dsouza:
sorry, I didn't I didn't follow let okay like for your business like you
David Pender:
Okay.
Kirkston Dsouza:
have a video which is better rather than written content.
David Pender:
The first the first video I created came off absolutely brilliant. Absolutely.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
It it caught my name it caught the name of the business and everything else. It seemed as I say after that it seemed to lose that feature. But the first video I created. If I don't if I gone to a private firm to have that created.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Uh-huh.
David Pender:
It would have cost a lot of money.
Kirkston Dsouza:
I agree.
David Pender:
And voice voiceovers don't come cheaply. You get you get somebody to do voiceover and it costs are not here. It costs a fortune.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Through I agree.
David Pender:
Yeah. Yeah, I'm totally I'm totally happy with you know with what you're rolling out.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Thank you so much.
David Pender:
Okay, so any questions for me?
Kirkston Dsouza:
No. No, I mean, that's all for me. I do. Do you have anything for me?
David Pender:
Not really, the only the only surprises I have and they were put right very quickly. Was that was a collection purchasing and I purchased an additional package of minutes because as you can imagine when you get your first package, you click click click click click. So I put additional package and it didn't come through the first time but they they actually sent me a link to add it on.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay.
David Pender:
Now it's all been refunded but like because I have an extra credit refunded but when when I had the billing it came through as free free payments for two packages, but it's all sorted and put right now anyway.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay, but I'll still take a look into this. I mean this was the most robust part of the tool in fact.
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
I will take a look into it.
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Thanks for pointing it out.
David Pender:
That's okay. It's not a problem. Like I say I went to the $30 selection. Click on that to purchase the
Kirkston Dsouza:
Mm-hmm.
David Pender:
package. Couldn't get the package to download so went on to the chat at the time. They should be a download package. But I ended up the curing free payments, but but I've been sent back to payments anyway, so I'm completely happy with that.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Okay, okay.
David Pender:
And as you say as you say you're
Kirkston Dsouza:
but
David Pender:
gonna give me another 15 minutes for this call today anyway, so yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
yes.
David Pender:
That is one question. I have got If we don't use all the minutes in a month. Do they roll over?
Kirkston Dsouza:
No, we don't have the rollover system. So every every month you get a new set of minutes. So if you want I can bump up your minutes on a later date. If you if you have to renew your package if you're subscription is getting over in the next couple of days. I can review it for a later date.
David Pender:
Yeah, it must have my subscription is going to be about the end the end of May.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Oh, so we're at the start of May. So do you want me to bump it up now or?
David Pender:
Yeah bump bump bump it up now and it will give me time get me it will give me time to be creative and get more used to the tools and everything else.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Got it. I'll do that. Maybe by the end of today.
David Pender:
Okay.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Your account will be bumped up.
David Pender:
But I can see myself as a counselor using this kind of software. For you know for all the years. I'm going to be in practice.
Kirkston Dsouza:
That's absolutely fine. So, I mean we found a different audience with users like you so we've got a lot of Academy professors and students who use our tool a lot more
David Pender:
Yeah.
Kirkston Dsouza:
because it's easier to create explainer videos and marketing videos and things like that.
David Pender:
Absolutely. It's far more easier to get someone's attention. When they have a moving image. Than what it is to get people to sit
Kirkston Dsouza:
That's right.
David Pender:
down and read the stuff that you're right.
Kirkston Dsouza:
That's true. That's very true.
David Pender:
Yeah, yeah. It's a it's a 10 out of ten from me as soon as standards of this morning.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Thank you.
David Pender:
Okay. so they
Kirkston Dsouza:
Thank you so much David. I
David Pender:
you you are welcome my friend. You take care and have a good day. All right.
Kirkston Dsouza:
you too have a lovely day.
David Pender:
Thank you, bye-bye.
Kirkston Dsouza:
Bye.
