All Communications will be addressed on Slack
Your classes are your responsibility for finding cover. If you’ve accepted a cover, you are then responsible for the class.
Cover Policy
1. Put your classes onto slack cover channel, DM teachers as necessary to make sure your class is covered.
2. Once covered, put the cover on to the confirmed cover channel on Slack and @the studio manager & the person covering. The person covering should leave an emoji to signal they have confirmed the message.
3. If you do not find cover for your shift you will be expected to teach.
4. If you do not find cover for your shift and you do not show up. You will be dismissed as this is considered gross negligence.
5. If you accidentally do not show for a class (oversleep), then you will receive a warning, which the head office will give, if you miss another class, you will lose your classes. The warning will expire in 6 months.
6. Reminder cover process is that no covers are confirmed further out than 8 weeks before.
7. The emergency cover channel is only for illness or injury within 48 hours.
Cover Protocol (Non-Emergency)
There are 4 studio cover channels – one for each studio location.

Your cover is only confirmed once it’s confirmed on a CONFIRMED COVER CHANNEL by the Centre Team in the below format:
Centre Team confirms with TICK/confirmation once cover is confirmed, and studio team has changed MBO.
If your class is outside of 48hrs but within 1 week (7 days) please add URGENT
Only post covers on the confirmed cover channel within 6 weeks of the posting date. This is required because we need to maintain the proof of cover acceptance message and we only have 90 days of messages on Slack.

Discussion channels will be added for teachers to advertise, swap, and discuss
cover PER STYLE.

CONFIRM YOUR COVER.
CENTRE TEAMS ARE NOT IN THESE COVERS AND THE ONLY WAY TO
CONFIRM COVER IS ON THE CONFIRMED COVER CHANNEL.
PLEASE DO NOT ASK STUDIO TEAMS TO ARRANGE YOUR COVER FOR YOU.
EMERGENCY COVER PROTOCOL
For any Emergency Cover issues or updates (48hrs until the class), you must inform
the centre team.
Please note that an emergency is considered as an urgent, debilitating injury or
illness or a serious family/personal incident.
• Step 1 (INFORM CENTRES)
Teacher to CALL the studio team as fast as possible.
Emergency; illness or injury and legitimate family emergency
• Step 2 (INFORM TEACHERS)
Teacher to put cover on SLACK CHANNELS
• Step 3
The Teacher should immediately start to direct message all other Teachers to
try and obtain cover until cover is obtained.
• Step 4
If cover is obtained, studio team should be notified immediately and will
change the Teacher on the website and email the students.-
