Introduction (5 minutes):
Introduce yourself and explain what pickleball is.
Show the kids the paddles, balls, and court.
Explain the basic rules of pickleball, such as how to serve, how to keep score, and how to determine which team serves.
Skill-building (20-25 minutes):
Demonstrate the basic skills of pickleball: serving, forehand, backhand, and dink shots.
Have the kids practice each skill with a partner or in small groups, under your guidance.
Provide feedback and positive reinforcement to encourage the kids as they learn.
Game play (20-25 minutes):
Split the kids into pairs or small groups.
Have them play a game of pickleball, with each team practicing the skills they just learned.
Encourage the kids to keep score and switch sides of the court after each point.
Cool-down (5-10 minutes):
Have the kids stretch out their muscles and cool down after the game.
Ask them if they enjoyed playing pickleball and if they learned anything new.
