In this song we will learn how to play a melody in C major scale using the scale shape we have learned by choosing a selection and order of notes that sound musical.
Compositional analysis
This song is in the key of C major. We will choose notes of the scale in a more musical context this time so that our practice sounds a little less like an exercise and more like music. We will try to find the most economic way of using our fingers in order to play the groups of notes given. Last thing in addition to the notes, this time we will make use of some dyads that we have previously learned and see how that affects the sound of the piece that we are playing. This style of music is very popular when it comes to pop and indie music with numerous examples over the years as well as some evergreen chartbusters!
