Song description

The song is a simple and catchy tune. The melody is written in a way that it grabs our attention and remains in our mind, which is the reason why it is taught to children as rhymes. This lesson relative to the previous chapters, help us play “Mary had a little lamb” on the second and third string using staff notation.

Compositional analysis

The song is in the key of G major, on 4/4 common time signature. Since the notes flow on the beat it makes it rhythmically catchy and easy to remember.
