1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy outlines how the "Document Generation" Coda Pack ("the Pack"), developed by Bot&Partners, processes your data. The Pack is designed to integrate your Coda workspace with your Google Drive and Google Docs accounts to automate document creation. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in our data handling practices.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies specifically to the data processed by the Pack. It does not cover the data practices of Coda or Google. We encourage you to review the respective privacy policies of Coda and Google, as your use of their platforms is subject to their terms.

3. Information We Process

The Pack does not collect or store your data on its own servers. It acts as an intermediary, processing data only when you initiate an action. The types of data processed include:

Configuration Data: Google Docs template IDs, Google Drive folder IDs, target folder paths, and file names that you provide in your Coda table.

Content Data: Any data from your Coda tables that you map as values to be placed into your document templates. This can include names, dates, prices, addresses, or any other text or numerical data.

Authentication Tokens: The Pack uses Coda's built-in authentication system to securely manage access to your Google Account via the OAuth protocol. The Pack itself does not store your Google password.

4. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively to perform the functions of the Pack at your request. These functions are:

To access and copy a specified Google Docs template from your Google Drive.

To create a new folder structure within your Google Drive based on the path you provide.

To populate the newly created document by finding and replacing placeholder tags (e.g., <<key>>) with the Content Data from your Coda doc.

To delete a previously generated document from your Google Drive if you trigger the regeneration function.

We do not use your data for any other purpose, such as advertising, analytics, or profiling.

5. Data Storage and Security

The Document Generation Pack does not operate its own database and does not permanently store any of your personal data or document content.

When you generate a document, the necessary Configuration and Content Data is processed temporarily in-memory on Coda's secure, sandboxed execution environment. This processing lasts only for the duration required to make the API calls to Google. Once the document generation is complete, this temporary data is discarded. The security of your data at rest is maintained by the robust security protocols of your own Google Drive and Coda accounts.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. All data processing occurs between your Coda workspace and your Google Account, orchestrated by the Pack's code running on Coda's platform.

7. Your Consent and Control

Consent: By installing the Pack in your Coda workspace and authenticating it with your Google Account, you consent to the data processing described in this policy.

Control: You have full control over your data. You can manage your content directly within your Coda docs and Google Drive. You can also stop the Pack from processing your data at any time by:

Uninstalling the Pack from your Coda workspace.

Revoking the Pack's access to your Google Account via your Google Account security settings page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in functionality or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy will indicate the latest revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
