What you need to do:

You spend the morning familiarizing yourself with the testing tools used by the company. This includes Jira for bug tracking, and other tools relevant to the tech stack.

Test Case Review

You dive into reviewing test cases for an upcoming feature release. You carefully analyze each test scenario to ensure comprehensive coverage of all possible use cases and edge cases.

Hands-On Testing

You begin hands-on testing of a new feature on the company's web application. Following the test cases closely, you document any issues encountered and verify functionalities.

Bug Reporting

After identifying several bugs during testing, you log them into Jira. Each bug report includes detailed steps to reproduce the issue and is prioritized based on its severity.

End of Day Reflection

As the day concludes, you reflect on your first day as a QA engineer. You feel excited about the challenges ahead and grateful for the support and guidance received from your team.
