Lead Statuses

This SOP will highlight:

How we’ve set up our Lead statuses in Close.
How to update the status for a Lead.
How to adjust the existing Lead statuses in the Close account.

How to Create/Edit Lead Statuses

Navigate to the Settings. ​

Go to the Statuses & Pipelines page. ​

To create a new Lead Status, type the name of the status in the Status Name box and click Add. ​

To edit an existing Lead Status, click the pencil icon next to the status you want to update & change the name accordingly. ​

To delete a Lead Status, click the bin icon next to the status you want to delete:
If there are some leads assigned to the status you are trying to delete, you will need to choose a different status to assign to those leads.
Once you’ve assigned the leads to a different status, you can then click Delete. ​

To edit the order that the statuses appear, hover your mouse over the lead status you want to re-order, then click & drag the status using the 2 bars icon. ​
