Definitions

Thesys uses specific terms to describe its features and functionality. Here's a list of key definitions to help you understand and navigate the platform:

Canvas

The playground where you design your agent by adding, organizing, and connecting queries and responses to create conversational flows.

Side Editing Panel

When you select the elements on the canvas, a panel on the right side of the screen appears. This panel allows you to customize the selected element's properties, styles, and settings.

Query / User Query

A user input or message that the agent is designed to respond to. Queries are the starting points for creating flows and dictate how the agent interacts with users.

Response

The agent's reply to a query. Responses can include text, images, buttons, and other components that form the building blocks of your conversational flows.

Flow

Flows are a sequence of connected queries and responses that represent a complete conversational path. They structure the interaction between the user and the agent.

Trigger

A specific condition or action that activates a response or flow. For example:
Fallback Trigger: Handling scenarios where the user doesn't interact within a specific time frame or enters unrecognized input.

Template

Pre-designed response or block layouts that you can use to save time and maintain consistency.

Prototype Mode

A feature that allows you to test and preview your agent's flows quickly. You can prototype the entire agent or specific flows to ensure they work as expected.

Public Prototype

A shareable version of your agent that others can access through a link

AI Button

A tool that helps generate or refine responses and flows using AI. It's available in the response editor or as a purple button on selected cards.

Internal Members

Users of your organization have full access to all files and projects.

External Collaborators

Users outside your organization who have access to specific shared files but are not full members.

Share Button

A button in the top-right corner allows you to invite collaborators, manage permissions, or share a public prototype.

Select Tool

The default tool for selecting and editing elements on the canvas. Shortcut: V.

Hand Tool

Used to pan and move around the canvas. Shortcut: H.

Zoom Controls

Options to zoom in and out of the canvas using Ctrl/Cmd + Scroll Wheel or pinch gestures on a trackpad.
