Medical Leave
Know your employment start date and hence your entitled leave and MC.
You must have worked for
at least 3 months
to be entitled to paid outpatient sick leave or paid hospitalisation leave.
Any absence without valid MC or a leave application, will be treated as
Unpaid Leave.
All M.Cs to be approve must be from government or private practice as mentioned on the MOM website. Do refer to the Link Cards here.
Every Year in January, your MC are reset to 0
If you are a new employee, paid sick leave is
PRO-RATED
according to your length of service.
Staff MC computation is calculated with 14 days/12mths x (number of days from start) / 365.
For our
beneficiaries
that are still under programmes with halfway houses, your absence, leave and M.C. will be updated to your relevant houses.
