Testing a widget for the first time
Create a new Wix Studio site
Add the Widget to stage (
Important
: 1 preset per page)
QA the Widget on Stage:
Responsive Behavior (Fixed Width, Relative Width)
A11y (H tags, Layer order etc.)
Behavior across breakpoints
Overrides
&presetManager=true
Add to site’s url to enable saving as a preset
Select the Vertical/Component and click
Save as preset
from the
More Actions
menu
This action could take a few seconds ⏳ ... Modal window should open:
Type “
WixStudio Other/Testing
” in
Preset Albums
field and check mark it
Choose Screenshot width in the Add panel (num of cols) For example: A small widget sized half the panel width should be marked as 6 cols (out of 12)
Check mark both:
Use static preview
and
Should have ovverides on the components
Click on
Upload Media
and
Choose File
Upload a Jpeg file (preferably)
Click
Save
Open the
Preset Manager
and observe your preset
Trigger Master build
responsive-editor-presets-metadata Master
on TC
When the build has successfully passed - open a new (or old) Wixstudio site
Choose latest Metadata version on
Wix insiders
Add
&experiments=other
to url
Find your Widget in
Sections
