Rejecting all candidates with Immigration Assistance needs is neither pragmatic nor scalable.
The of a balanced immigration program for TA were apparent. A balanced process vs. a very impactful and detrimental broad stroke was needed Current Process
Immigration assistance had been banned by the Head of HR across all departments. If absolutely required, after every other alternative had been exhausted, a detailed justification needed to be crafted and approved up to the CEO.
Proposed Process
Wait 90 days after a role has been open before extending offers to candidates requiring sponsorship. Screen strong candidates requiring immigration assistance starting as soon as the role is open Educate candidates and keep them updated throughout the process: If they pass the TA Screen: Let them know that the rest of the would start on the 75th day after a role had been opened Recruiter sends a calendar reminder to the candidate set for day 75 Expedite the rest of the interview process Let the candidate know the role has been filled (if they haven’t been dispositioned already)
