What is Gehenna and Haddes like?

Experience

MEMORY AND REGRET.
Abraham said to the rich man in hades “remember” in Luke 16:25.
Lost people will continue to remember their sins and the times that they rejected the Holy Spirit convicting them of their sins and their need for Jesus Christ to be their Saviour.
THIRST.
The rich man in hell begged Abraham to “send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue” (Luke 16:24), but he was refused. Jesus Christ offers in John 7:37, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me
and drink.”
EXPERIENCE DEATH TWICE.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone (sulphur); which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8.
EYESIGHT, HEARING, TOUCH, TASTE AND SMELL
These are senses that people possess in hell. The rich man in Luke 16:19-31 could “see” Abraham, “hear” his voice, “touch” the flames, desire to “taste” water, and “smell” the sulphur.
UNSATISFIED DESIRES.
Both of the rich man's requests were denied in Luke 16:19-31.
His request for a drop of water
To send Lazarus to tell his five unsaved brothers

TORMENT and PUNISHMENT.
“In hell, he lift up his eyes being in torments.” Luke 16:23.
SHAME and HATRED.
“Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” Daniel 12:2.
