Only one judgement, no waiting period - Heb 9:27 - And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Lazarus and the Rich man also provide sufficient evidence that there is nothing that the Rich man can do.
If those in hell never cease to sin, why would they cease to suffer and be brought to heaven? (this gives us the unbiblical doctrine of purgatory).
SOUL SLEEP
[2Co 5:6-8 KJV] 6 Therefore [we are] always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Believers and unbelievers are conscious according the the story of Lazarus and the rich man.
NO ANNIHILATION / NO SOUL SLEEP / CONSCIOUS THE WHOLE TIME
Phl 3:19 - Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things.) / Physical
1Th 5:3 - For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. / Physical
2Th 1:9 - Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; / everlasting destruction is continual
2Pe 3:7 - But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. / fire is referring to the purging of the earth.
Mat 10:28 - And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. / Comparing the fact that man can is only limited in destroying the body, where God is unlimited in ability.
If their sins have not been fully paid for in hell, then on what grounds does justice permit them to be annihilated?
Sin that goes unpunished would be a failure of justice.
LAKE OF FIRE IS FOR ETERNITY
Not even the worms die - “Where their worm dieth not...” Mark 9:44,46,48.

Verse 10 - the devil, beast, and false prophet thrown into the lake of fire to be tormented forever and ever.
Verse 11-15 - the unrighteous all cast into the lake of fire to be tormented forever and ever.
GOD IS FAIR
2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
