Unintentional overlaps

Splite uses the coordinates of each layer to define the positioning & margins of the elements.
If two layers totally overlap, the one on top will be "child" of the one below. 👌

If two layers partially overlap, the layer above will also be a "child" of the layer below. But the latter will also be transformed into a background-image. 🚨🚨
So it is very important to avoid unintentional partial overlaps.
The most common involuntary partial overlaps
Partial overlaps can be invisible to the naked eye. They may come from a drop shadow (if the layer is an image) or from a text area.
The overlap can be caused by the shadow of an image or the width of a text area

The overlap can be completely hidden by a layer below.
