Missionary Plan

Relief Society

1. Fellowshipping & Integration of New and Returning Sisters
Goal: Ensure every new, returning, or investigating sister feels immediately connected and supported.
Assign every newly baptized sister or sister working with missionaries an unofficial Relief Society buddy.
Personally welcome them in class and invite them to activities, groups, and outings within the first month.
Follow up regularly during their first 3–6 months
2. Member Missionary Efforts
Goal: Increase member involvement in sharing the gospel through personal relationships.
Encourage each sister to invite at least one non-member (neighbor, friend, coworker) into her home or to a family activity during the year.
Invite friends to Relief Society activities and uplifting events.
3. Christ-Centered Living
Goal: Strengthen a ward culture that openly speaks of and reflects Christ.
Encourage sisters to intentionally speak of Christ more in their homes and testimonies.
Emphasize Christlike behavior in ministering, service, and communication.

Young Women

1. Peer Fellowshipping & Retention
Goal: Ensure every Young Woman is seen, supported, and spiritually strengthened.
Implement a Big Sister/Little Sister program across all classes.
Each YW invites a less-active or non-member friend to an activity or Sunday meeting at least once per year.
If a YW misses two consecutive Sundays, a presidency member reaches out with a visit or personal contact.
2. Missionary Preparation & Engagement
Goal: Help Young Women build confidence in sharing the gospel and working with missionaries.
Invite sister missionaries to teach:
Older girls: once per quarter
Younger girls: once every six months
Invite sister missionaries to activities and encourage them to attend splits with seniors once per quarter.
Encourage girls to invite friends when missionaries attend activities.
3. Temple Focus
Goal: Strengthen temple habits and family history participation.
Each Young Woman prepares at least one family name to take to the temple when attending.
Provide support or training in family history as needed.

Sunday School

1. Welcoming & Inclusion
Goal: Ensure no one walks into Sunday School unnoticed or sits alone.
Presidency coordinates weekly with missionaries to identify expected friends/investigators.
Teachers and assigned members actively welcome new or unfamiliar attendees.
Assign members to watch for anyone sitting alone, especially less-active members or visitors.
2. Outreach to Less Active Members
Goal: Increase Sunday School attendance through loving outreach.
Work with ward council to identify individuals who may benefit from personal encouragement.
Encourage teachers to reach out to less-active members with invitations and support.
3. New Member Support
Goal: Strengthen recent converts through continued gospel learning.
Facilitate new member discussions when appropriate.
Ensure recent converts are meaningfully included in class participation.

Primary

1. Missionary Understanding
Goal: Help children understand what it means to be a missionary and how they can share the gospel.
Invite sister missionaries to teach a 5th Sunday lesson on missionary work.
Learn a new song about missionary work.
Provide sharing time opportunities for teachers and children to share missionary experiences.
2. Invitation Culture
Goal: Help each child invite at least one friend to church or a Primary activity during the year.
Encourage children to identify a friend they could invite.
Hold a community service project and encourage children to bring a friend.

Ward Council Focus & Action Plan

1. Welcome New & Returning Members
Coordinate weekly with missionaries about who is attending.
Assign someone to greet, sit with, and introduce newcomers.
Invite visitors to an activity within their first week.
Identify and reach out to a few less-active members each month.
If someone misses two Sundays, make contact.
2. Encourage Invitations & Missionary Living
Ask each organization to set a simple “invite a friend” goal.
Encourage members to prayerfully identify one person to invite into their home or to church.
Plan at least one guest-friendly activity each quarter.
Share brief missionary experiences in ward council.

3. Center on Christ
Ensure meetings and sacrament talks clearly focus on the Savior.
Encourage leaders to speak of Christ in their homes and classes.
Model Christlike love, inclusion, and kindness.

4. Strengthen Temple Participation
Encourage youth to take a family name to the temple.
Provide simple family history instruction as needed.
Promote keeping temple recommends current.
Consider an annual ward temple emphasis.

5. Ensure No One Is Overlooked
Watch for those sitting alone in meetings.
Review rolls regularly and reach out personally.
Reinforce: If you notice someone, you minister to them.
Ward Mission Goals
Welcome Everyone Contact every visitor that is at church each week
Invite Friends Each organization brings at least one guest (friend, neighbor, or less-active member) to a ward activity each quarter.
Share the Gospel Encourage every member family to prayerfully invite one person each quarter to church, an activity, or their home.
Strengthen Temple Participation Each member submits at least one family name for temple work this year and youth bring names to temple baptisms.

**Relief Society

◦ Every newly baptized member or sister working with the missionaries will unofficially be assigned a buddy

◦ Be sure to welcome them into Relief Society, and invite them to groups, outings, and activities.

Ward Goals

◦ Commit to inviting 1 non-member in your home or to do something with your family. Neighbor, friend, etc.

◦ Focus on being Christ like in all we do and say

◦ Speak of Christ more in our life and in sacrament meetings

**YOUNG WOMEN - Mission Plan

Each YW will invite another YW (less active or non-member) to join them in a church activity or Sunday.
Big Sister/Little Sister Program - throughout YW - watchful eye for who is not there - ministering.
Each YW will work towards bringing to the temple at least one family name when we attend the temple.
Invite sister missionaries to teach YW once a quarter for the older girls and once every six months for the younger girls so they can develop a relationship with them. Also, invite them to activities as girls invite their friends (maybe have them teach an activity as well).
Have sister missionaries invite especially seniors on splits - to teach, once a quarter.
If any YW is missing for more than 2 YW Sundays, have members of the perspective Presidency visit YW to show that we love her and are thinking of her.


Sunday School

1. Train/ensure all Sunday School classes look for or ask if any “friends” of the missionaries are in attendance and be sure to welcome them. Sunday school presidency to check with missionaries prior to church if any known friends are expected to attend.

2. Ask or assign willing members to look for and make sure no one is sitting alone, especially anyone we don’t know or we know is less active.

3. Work with ward council to identify less active members that would benefit from Sunday school teachers reaching out to encourage to attend

4. If desired, facilitate new member discussions of any new future recent converts.


Primary Goals

1) Increase the primary children's knowledge of what it means to be a missionary.

actionable items:

* have sister missionaries teach 5th Sunday on missionary work and simple ways children can share the gospel with friends.

*Learn a new song about missionary work

*give opportunities in sharing time for teachers and children to share missionary experiences.


2)Goal: Each child is encouraged to invite at least one friend to church or an activity during the year.

actionable items:

* Hold a service project to help in the community and help children identify a friend they can invite to come with them.
