Goal: Align cross-org and cross-functional teams on the strategy that will drive key initiatives over the next 18-24 months.

What are the problems you are solving?

[P0] Problem: Outline the problems in a few bullet points

Who are the target customers & users?

Pin point the problems: are they related to software, hardware, data, technology/infra, policy or something else?

[P0] Opportunity: How do the problems manifest in the bottom line? Do they cost time or money, waste resources, delay partners, etc?

How are those problems being solved today?

[P0] What is wrong with the current solutions?

Who are the other people trying to solve this problem and what have they tried?

Why haven’t other people solved this problem?

[P0] What’s your solution?

[P0] Key initiatives - outline the solution in a few bullet points

What’s your unique value proposition?

What’s your unfair advantage?

Why is success strategically important for the company?

Who will pay for this?

[P0] How are you going to deliver the solution to the customer?

[P0] What does successful execution require over the next 12-18 months? (key decisions: eng focus, product trade-offs)

Outline the key delivery milestones

What is the Go-To-Market / Launch strategy in a few bullets

What are the key risks?

What are the key indicators / metrics that will tell you if this strategy is working?

What are the leading indicators of success & failure?

Needs/asks

What do you need for success?

What dependencies/blockers do you have that need clearing?
