Addresses

Some people live in two different places. Like geese, they like to go south for the winter. Perhaps you have their home address and business address. NPSP has the Address object to account for this. Here are the important items to remember:
An Address record is always created when Billing Address is filled in on the Account.
If the Billing Address is changed on the Account, the following happens:
A new address record is created.
The default checkbox is selected for the new record.
The start date field of the new address is filled in with date you changed it.
The old address end date is filled in with the date that you changed it.
By default, the address table is only available for Accounts with the Household Account Record Type. To allow this function for Organizations, it must be enabled in NPSP Settings - Addresses. You can also disable Household Account Addresses in NPSP Settings - Addresses.
Address records capture more information about location than the standard address, including:
County Name
Congressional
Seasonal Start Month
Seasonal Start Day
Seasonal End Month
Seasonal End Day

Below is an example of both a Home and Vacation Residence.
