To help you settle in and get started, we’ve compiled some important information and credentials you might need. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

The Basics

Office Essentials

WiFi Access

Communications & Programs

We use Outlook for email, Slack for daily communication, Dropbox for file access, Humi for Human Resources and Lists for project management.

Please also ensure your Outlook Desktop App is installed. Email Credentials will be shared with you.
Dropbox: File storage
Please set up your Google Account using your existing Abacus Brands Email
Click “For Myself” and “Use Existing” which is when you input your Abacus Brands email.
Login Credentials: You will receive an invitation to join our project management tool at your company email address. Please follow the instructions in the email to set up your account.
: Human Resources Application
Login Credentials: You will receive an invitation to join our project management tool at your company email address. Please follow the instructions in the email to set up your account.
Lists: Feature in Slack to align organization and collaboration on work.
To add this feature, click “more” on the side bar, custom navigation bar, and check off “lists”.

Getting Started

Introduction: On your first day in office, Natalia will give you a tour of the office and Sam will introduce you to the team.
Orientation: You will also have an orientation session where we’ll go over important policies, procedures, and how we work at Backdrop. We’ll go through an employee contract and ensure all personal information is up to date.

Things to Note

Office Hours
Hours are 9am-5pm, and this can be flexible within 30 min (i.e arrive at 9:30am and leave at 5:30pm)That said, most of our team works 9am-5pm!
Our office hours are 8am-6pm - in case you ever forget something in the office and need to come back, your key card will allow you access during these hours

Key Card Access: From 9am-5pm, our office is fully accessible without a key card. Keep in mind that you will need your key card for access to the 2nd floor if you are arriving before 9am. Stairwell access always requires a key card.
Lunch Break
You are entitled to 30 mins of break time. Most people utilize this for their lunch break!
Pay
Payroll dates are semi-monthly and as follows:
1st - 15th
16th - last day in the month (30th or 31st)
Pay days are on the 6th and 21st of each month.
If a pay day lands on a Saturday, you will get paid out on the Friday before
If a pay day lands on a Sunday, you will get paid out on the Monday after
Invoicing (Contractors Only)
WHO
Contractors: If you are employed as a contractor, please see below on how you will be getting paid.
WHAT
Invoice Due Dates are bi-monthly, 1st & 16th of every month.
Invoices should be billed following our payroll dates: the 1st through the 15th and the 16th through the last day of the month.
These will be paid via direct deposit within one week of invoice submission.
HOW
Please send an invoice addressed to Trade Show Display Corp. on the day before invoice due dates, to Jackie McCoy <jackie@backdrop.com>.
Please also submit a VOID Check or Direct Deposit Details in order to get paid.
See sample invoice, below. You can generate these invoices online or send them in any basic format you prefer via email. Please ensure your name, address and phone number are listed.
