🏢 Company obligations
Prepare a written Risk Assessment
A Risk Assessment is a document that identifies, records and evaluates the hazards of the company’s operations and suggests control measures to mitigate the risks.
Prepare and maintain a Safety Management System
Similar to an ISO45001, a Safety Management System is a collection of documents that describes how the Company manages Health and Safety, including procedures for Emergency Response, training and recording of accidents.
Appoint at least one employee as the Health and Safety Responsible Person
This employee may be performing additional duties.
Assign at least one employee as the Health and Safety Deputy
This employee may be performing additional duties.
Appoint a Health and Safety Committee which is comprised of company employees.
The committee members must either be voted or assigned responsibilities by the company
Train the Health and Safety Responsible Person
The Health and Safety Responsible person must be trained for Health and Safety with a specific training program of 35 hours duration.
Train the Health and Safety Committee members
The Health and Safety Committee members must be trained with a specific training program of 7 hours.
