Is that a giant goldfish? Wow, that's big! LOL
The first set look more like children's soapy bubbles, so probably not quite like that. The second set of bubbles (the black and white cartoony ones) "might" work, depending on the style we go with for the projections. If they are more realistic, then probably not, but if they look drawn or painted, then maybe. The third set looks a bit more right, I think. The projections will have soft edges, so this kind of paint treatment might help us. In terms of colors, It might need to be in the earthtone pallet?? The base should be a very light color, but not stark white. So, I think maybe a cream color with a slight tint of "murky lake/river" color. I am using the term "a slight nod in the direction of bubbles/underwater" so whatever that means to you. An audience should wonder if they are underwater bubbles or if we just chose the shape of circles to use for the projection screens. I don't mind this living in the world of "let the audience decide for themselves" Realism or Cartoon - This hasn't been decided yet, but as of now, I don't think the projections will be a photograph. I think they will have some sort of filter on them so they don't look uber-realistic. Slide 3 - Yeah, something like that, and then the rings around the circles would somehow coordinate or match this in some way. I don't think you need to "hide" the legs at all. I am ok with seeing everything. Take a look at the stuff below and see if you like any of those wood colors/grain. (Maybe I mislead you here. I want a finished wood look for the platforms and legs, not tree bark.)
